Long runs, tempo runs, hill runs, fartlek runs – none of this stuff makes you faster. Track does…and you get some social group fun too.”[/testimonial2]
[headline_tahoma_extra_large_centered color=”#000000″]Run M5 Track Workouts[/headline_tahoma_extra_large_centered]
Track workouts are the best way to start the day and the most important workout you can do if you care about your running performance. There’s no substitute for QUALITY speed work. By quality, I mean the following:
[green_plus_list width=”100%”]
- Doing what you SHOULD be doing to get ready for your most important race
- Doing what you SHOULD be doing based on where you are in your training program
- Doing what you SHOULD be doing to address your individual weaknesses
- Doing what you SHOULD be doing to make you a faster, more efficient runner
[/green_plus_list]
Proper speed training takes your running to another level. Improper speed training leaves you excessively fatigued and/or injured…and you don’t get any faster. It’s a fine line.
Track workouts also give you the social component (c’mon, we ALL want this!), which gives you the best of both worlds: social camaraderie + individual, professional run coaching. This isn’t a bunch of people following the same free program you downloaded online. This is you doing what is best for YOU…and having a great time doing it.
[testimonial2 author=”Brian Pellegrini” + pic=”http://runm5.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/05/Brian-Pellegrini-Testimonial.jpg”]“For the first time in my life that I actually feel like a runner instead of a gawky, plodding biker/swimmer who tries not to collapse on the run. As I think you are fond of saying Scott, I could have just kept training harder and harder with my poor technique and would not have seen this kind of improvement. It took improvement in technique, and practicing the right form to make it happen.”[/testimonial2]
